HEATH
RYAN WINS!
After
many heartbreaking attempts, New South Wales rider Heath Ryan has
conquered the CCI**** class with a fabulous victory! Clearly
in the lead after dressage, still on top after his most polished
and emphatic cross country round to date and with three rails in
hand for the showjumoing, Heath was looking set to claim a deceiptively
easy victory. A nervous start with two rails down had many
in the audience biting their nails. A steadying hand on the
reins and the nerves saw the dimunitive Flame grow wings and carry
Heath to a much deserved victoryin the Southern Hemisphere's only
Olympic standard three day event.
Stuart
Tinney riding the stunning Warmblood, Vettori completed his competition
with a flawless showjumping round to claim second place.
Emily
Anker and Balmoral Cavalier finished not far behind in third place.

and lastly the thousands of people who attended the event this year
for making the 2006 E Banc Trade Adelaide International Horse Trials

South Australian rider
Megan Jones and her home bred mount Kirby Park Irish Jester in second
place after the first day of dressage at the World Equestrian Games
in Aachen.
Megan and 'Jester' won
the 2005 Adelaide International Horse Trials, and this winning form,
coming hot after her first place at the Melbourne International
Horse Trials in June 2005 sealed her spot on the Australian Team.
